Couple Communication Program

Topics Covered in the Group will Include the Following:

  • The Importance and Biblical Basis of Good Communication: Towards the Collaborative Marriage
  • Choosing Communication Styles: How it's appropriate to talk to each other and when!
  • Identifying Issues: What's Important to you and your partner?
  • Using your Awareness Wheel: 6 skills for expressing yourself more clearly.
  • Applying the Listening Cycle: Caring for your partner enough to understand his/her awareness.

Couple Communication is a premier skills program for couples. Developed at the University of Minnesota Family studies center, its has been completed by over 700,000 couples around the world. The fee for participation in this class will be $150.00 per couple plus $39.00 for materials.

Anger Management Group

Topics Covered in the Group:

  • What does the Bible say about anger?
  • Why do we get angry?
  • What can you do instead of acting angry?
  • How do we show our anger
  • Does anger have a purpose?
  • How you can control your anger
  • Healthy verses unhealthy anger
  • How to develop a healthy voice

The purpose of the group is to help individuals cope better in situations that currently cause anger, by gaining understanding of anger and by teaching healthy adaptive behaviors. Scripture will be included throughout the course. The group will be open to both men and women at least high school age.

The fee for the Anger Prevention and Management group is $480.00 per person. A maximum of ten people will be allowed in the group.
