Janet E. MacFarlane earned her Master's degree and completed a post-Master's Certificate in Trauma Treatment from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her Bachelor's degree is from Ohio State University. She works with children 6-12, teens 12-19, and adults. She has worked in the inner city, in hospital settings, in public school systems, and as a YWAM missionary working with refugees in Hong Kong and Thailand. She provides activity therapy for children and provides psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, specializing in trauma treatment; previous sexual abuse; panic and other anxiety disorders; abandonment and attachment issues; grief; depression; and spiritual issues. Janet sees her work as providing a safe environment so that inner fears can be shared and issues resolved with a new awareness and with God's guidance.
